Maurice joined KVRU in January 2018. He grew up in Central Seattle and founded the Central Area Youth Association’s (CAYA) multi-media performing arts program in the 1990s. More recently, he co-managed the Columbia City Theatre and brought a broad range of performances to the neighborhood. Maurice is the co-founder of Very Juicy Entertainment – a multimedia production house servicing the West Coast music, video and film community. His professional experience includes production facility design and installation, and as an acoustician, music producer, filmmaker, recording engineer, musician, educator, performer, graphic artist, and entrepreneur. As a bassist, he has recorded with numerous artists including the Neville Brothers, Peter Gabriel, and the Native American Grammy winning SongCatchers. Maurice served on the Radio Leadership Council that helped to create KVRU.
