Nimco Bulale is a steadfast advocate for equity and inclusion in her community. Born in Mogadishu, Somalia, and raised in Seattle and South King County, Nimco has a deep commitment to fostering positive change.
Nimco earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Washington and a Master’s in Public Administration from Seattle University.
Nimco’s professional experience has included roles with East African Community Services, the Refugee Women’s Institute, and OneAmerica. In 2021, she founded South Sound Strategies, a consultancy firm dedicated to organizational development, strategic initiatives, and grant writing.
Nimco serves on the Executive Board of the Southeast Seattle Education Coalition, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, and the 37th District Democrats.
