Asset Management

SEED’s Asset Management department preserves the long-term health and financial viability of the organization’s properties.

Our goals are to:

  • Preserve affordability of non-public housing throughout Southeast Seattle;
  • Provide affordable housing to seniors, people with disabilities, and families and individuals with limited income;
  • Maintain, operate, and provide for the safety and care of SEED’s approximately 30,000 square feet of commercial retail space.

SEED staff defines and executes portfolio-level strategies that ensure budgetary and regulatory compliance and maximize financial returns. Staff partners with property management firms to maintain buildings; manage site staff and vendors; perform all aspects of leasing; and communicate with residents.

SEED conducts oversight which includes visiting properties, reviewing and analyzing financial statements, providing support to site staff, and reviewing program compliance and reporting requirements. Capital improvements are considered annually for each property to maintain and upgrade the buildings.
