Michael Seiwerath began working as Executive Director for SEED on February 1st, 2021. Seiwerath says that he has long admired SEED’s work, and believes the intersection of affordable housing, arts, and economic development is critical to Southeast Seattle and our region as a whole.
Before coming to SEED, Seiwerath worked for Community Roots Housing (formerly Capitol Hill Housing) for a dozen years. He reflects on his work there in this interview on the Capitol Hill Seattle news blog.
As he said in this article for the Seattle Emerald, he looks forward to connecting with other leaders, community members, and small business owners in Southeast Seattle and learning how SEED can help address the community’s priorities.
As SEED Board President Krista Holland said, “We are extremely excited to welcome Michael to SEED, and believe he will infuse new energy and leadership into the organization as we continue serving our Southeast Seattle community.”
